Dibrugarh University has announced the B.Ed. Common Entrance Test (CET) 2024 for admission to its Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program for the academic year 2024-2025. Aspiring candidates must qualify for this entrance test to enroll in the B.Ed. courses offered by the university's affiliated colleges and its Department of Education.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have at least 50% marks in their Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities, or a Bachelor’s in Engineering/Technology with a specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks, from Dibrugarh University or any recognized university.
• Note: Candidates with 50% or more in Honours/Major subjects but less than 50% in aggregate are not eligible.
• Entrance Test: Candidates must pass the B.Ed. Common Entrance Test for the specified academic session.
• Relaxation: A 5% relaxation in marks is available for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/PWD candidates or those with at least five years of teaching experience at a recognized school (up to 10th standard). This relaxation is applicable to only one category per candidate.

Selection Criteria for Dibrugarh University B.Ed Admission

Admission to the B.Ed. program at institutions under Dibrugarh University will be determined by the following criteria:

1. Common Entrance Test (CET):

   • The CET will be conducted centrally and will have a maximum score of 70 marks.

2. Career Performance:

   • Career performance will account for a maximum of 30 marks.
   • Marks are based on the percentages secured in HSLC, HS, and Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree examinations.
   • 10% of the percentage marks obtained in each of these examinations will be considered. For example, if a student secures 53% in their Bachelor’s Degree, their career performance score for that exam will be 5.3.

Candidates who pass the B.Ed. CET 2024 must apply to the institution of their choice. Each institution will select candidates based on their CET scores and career performance marks. The career performance marks will be calculated and awarded by the respective institutions.
